The company launched the Maruti Suzuki S-cross in 2015 where this automobile was a success from the carmaker. Having good built quality in contrast and having good overall reviews made this car a good product by the company. The parent has sold 1,47,163 such specimens in the years, as recorded on 23rd July 2021 and still counting. Over the years, the product has lost its shine, and the same set of features are being delivered at less price by the competitors.
The company has now announced plans to launch the 2nd generation S-cross anytime in the upcoming months. The audience is now expecting a better variant than the previous one and a reason to buy one. The all-new Maruti Suzuki S-cross appears much bolder than the ongoing variant running in the Indian market. This model has a completely overhauled appearance in contrast to the predecessor. Design
The design of the new S-cross is getting a completely new makeover. This new automobile will come with a unique set of headlamps as it consists of multiple LED lamps and integrated LED daytime working lights. The bonnet, too, has received a new touch of elegance and has much of a muscular appearance. The fog lamps are perfectly placed with large air intakes, which boosts this product on a much higher level of looks. The skid plate makes this crossover look tougher. The side profile projects sporty black alloy wheels, and the rear profile also gets a new makeover, where the taillights are funky in approach and contain LED units. The taillights are occupied with a thick chrome line running horizontally initiating from the taillight’s centre. Chunky bumper with skid plate, LED stop lamp, and many more factors make this bad boy eye-catching.
Dimensions
The all-new S-cross will measure 4,300 mm in length, 1,585 in height, and 1,785mm in width. This crossover will present itself with a 2,600mm wheelbase and a boot space of 430 litres.
Cabin
The designers have revised the cabin design. There will be a multi-functioning three-spoke screening wheel similar to the old variant. But the dashboard will consist of a large 9 inch floating Touch-screen Display. The infotainment system will also be accompanied by Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. The upholstery and Seat material and quality will also be moved up a notch.
Engine And Transmission
The all-new Maruti Suzuki S-cross is accompanied by a 1.4-litre DITC engine combined with the maker’s 48-volt SHVS mild-hybrid technology. The engine throws out 129 PS power and has an output of 5,500 rpm and 235 Nm of torque. The electric motor boarded on the machine can generate up to 13.59 PS power and 50 Nm of torque. This compact crossover comes with the ALLGRIO SELECT four-wheel-drive system. This can be controlled with the dial pasted on the instrument panel.
Safety
This beast has a host of safety features. These include traffic sign recognition, autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control with stop and function, lane departure prevention. This showpiece also comes equipped with parking support technology such as a rear cross-traffic alert and a 360 view camera.
