He and a friend established Microsoft in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in 1975, and it became the world’s biggest seller of personal computers. Gates was listed among the world’s wealthiest individuals in 1987. Microsoft has acquired a number of businesses, including ZeniMax Media, GitHub, LinkedIn, Skype Technologies, and Mojang. Bill Gates is predicted to be the fourth richest person in the world as of 2022, with an estimated net worth of US $123 billion.
