A media report says that the new generation Mahindra Scorpio 2022 will accompany itself with a dual-zone climate control feature. The front cabin and the rear passenger space can have their own climate zone and there will also be connected car technology on power. So, you will be able to control some features from your mobile phone and track them through the application.
The infotainment system will be a 9-inch touch-screen supporting Apple Car Play and Android Auto. This beast will also come equipped with a 360-degree parking camera to help this SUV fit in limited and tight spaces.
For safety, Mahindra has never disappointed its audience. This SUV will have a set of 6 air bags and other safety features such as stability control, traction control, ISOFIX child seat mounts, an Anti-lock braking system etc.
It is not possible for an SUV to not have different driving modes. The Mahindra Scorpio 2022 will have different terrain modes. We can expect the beast to come with a 4×4 system that would cherish the advantage of the terrain modes and balance torque accordingly.

Let’s have a look at the engine and transmission options available. The company will offer the Scorpio a 2.2-litre diesel engine and a 2.0-litre petrol engine. Both the engine variants are already being used in the XUV700 and the Mahindra Thar. The diesel engine would be available in 2 states of tune.
For the lower models, it would offer 130 bhp of power. This is the same tune that the Mahindra Thar gets. So we can expect that the torque output to be around 300Nm. Mahindra Scorpio might offer the variants installed with this engine only with a 6-speed transmission gearbox.
When we enquired about the higher variants, we discovered that the engine would give out a max power of 160 – 170 bhp. This specification is a new state of tune, which Mahindra will offer for the first time. The torque output might be somewhere around 360Nm. The top trims would come with a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission or a 6-speed manual gearbox.
The New Generation Mahindra Scorpio will also have a 2.0-litre petrol engine offering. This engine will be a turbocharged unit that gets a direct injection. The media does not report how much torque the petrol engine will offer. The Next Gen Mahindra Scorpio will most likely be showcased by April 2022 and we can expect the deliveries to commence somewhere around June 2022. The Mahindra Scorpio 2022 is expected to launch at a price of RS. 10.99 lakh which will make it slightly cheaper than the Mahindra XUV 7OO.
