The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza is a vehicle with zero haters and is admired by every viewer. It is a subcompact crossover SUV manufactured by the company.
Maruti Suzuki unveiled this beast at the 13th Auto Expo in 2016. This was the company’s first attempt in the subcompact crossover segment, and this vehicle is a perfect vehicle bearing from best-built quality to the best of comfort. Safety needs to have a separate point here as this vehicle bags a 4-star rating from Global NCAP.
After the 2016 generation, the company lifted the veil of its facelift in February 2020 at the Auto Expo with a 1.5-litre petrol engine. This subcompact competes with the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Mahindra XUV300 etc. The company has now decided to update the vehicle by all standards by announcing the launch of the new Vitara Brezza in mid-2022.
A New CAR – A New NAME?
Some spy shots of the new second-generation model have already popped up on the internet surface. The changes aim to re-affirm its place in the subcompact SUV segment even stronger.
To initiate with, the all-new Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will not bag the acronym ‘Vitara’ anymore, similar to the Zen Estilo converted to only ‘Estilo’. Like the previous models, the automobile will continue displaying itself in a boxy outlook. However, the company is set to revise the looks entirely from the model it is set to replace.
What Do The Leaks Say
The spy shots deliver hints about the vehicle’s front fascia, which has a sleeker appearing grille and a new set of headlamps; these new headlamps are supposed to house LED projectors with daylight running LED. Maruti Suzuki will install the vehicle with a unique clamshell bonnet and a new design for the boot lid. In contrast to the previous model, the license plate on the bonnet lid will now be placed a bit lower than before. New LED tail lamps are noticed in the SUV with a new chrome housing, which has the ‘BREZZA’ embroidered.
The new 2022 Brezza is likely to ditch the current interior layout. The new interior layout will have a new self floating Touch-screen infotainment system, much larger than the current system, and it will run on a new operating system with new display modes. The instrument console will come with a small TFT screen for the MID and not a full-TFT unit.
Other confirmed features the next-gen Vitara Brezza will experience is that it will have a dual-zone automatic climate control technology, e-sim based connected vehicle features, push-button start/stop button, paddle shifters for automatic transmission models, wireless charger and a single pane sunroof which will be seen for the first time in a Maruti Suzuki automobile.
Under the skin, the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to use the previous platform and the 1.5 litre 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine. The vehicle will continue the current mild hybrid system. The engine makes 105 bhp of max power a138 Nm of max torque. However, the company is expected to spice the engine up this time with additional power to give a headbutt to its rivals.
With the more premium visual appeal and charged with new features, the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza will bag a new price tag with a potential hike in the higher variants. With an expected price ranging from INR. Eight lakhs to INR. 12.5 lakhs. The new SUV will be priced as a straight competition to the rivals in the segment such as the Mahindra XUV300, Kia Sonet, Tata Nexon and Hyundai Venue.
